Companies aim is to increase the efficiency of solar panels when placed in a vertical position to increase the energy output.
This can be achieved to add an extra layer which transforms the light arrays.
This extra layer consist of small prisms on both the outside as well as on the inside of the layer. These both layers work together and direct the light more to direct angle position to the solar panels.
The aim of company is that we use the prism structure on the outside surface to create the shapes of bricks. As the layer is still a transparent material.
The surface of the panel is more in line with the more traditional building with bricks used in the Netherlands.
Of course, the company will also give other appearance to the surface more in line with wood, or natural stones, which is been used in other parts of Europe.
The main aim is first bring the layer to a level that it can be produced.
Then a licence model will be for now the first direction to go, as this gives a wider perspective to B2b sales.
A complete buy out of the technology could also belong to the (exit)options.
Company divers itself from competitors as the most competitors who work in the field of vertical placed solar panels only aim to optimize the soalr panels on solar cel level. So they don’t take in accont the changes of angles during the day, year and on which longitude they are palced.
We are able to calculate the optimum prism structure for these variations.
Furthermore there are suppliers who have a different appearance by use of printing a structure on the inside of the glass. But then the outside is still a full flat surface .We use the outside structure to create a brick shape.
The investor can be directly involved in the daily business where some experience with the solar business would be preffered. However an investor who acts only as a (silent) investor is also welcome.
The founding team is experienced and succesfull in earlier/other ventures.
Founder 1: many years of experience in business and business creation. Last 6 years set up a new company from ground till current situation with a turnover of 1,5M and still growing. During the period working at Philip s gained knowledge of optics, IC structure and also in patents.
Founder 2: Many years working as a entrepeneur and build up companies in Japan, Netherlands and China. This in the field of robotics, software development, mobility and system controls.
